The Nannycam
is hidden in an everyday electrical item such as a clock or radio
and has a lens no bigger than the nib of a ball point pen. The appliance
it is hidden in works as normal and so arouses no suspicion. But
hidden inside is a tiny colour camera, a microphone, and a transmitter
which sends a signal that will penetrate the walls, floors and ceilings
of your home.
The signal, which transmits sound and video, is picked up by a receiver
which is plugged into a video recorder and which is about the
size of a box of household matches. The signal will travel 300ft
line of sight (without any obstructions). In the average home it
will travel between 50 to 150ft within your home depending on how
many walls, floors and ceilings you need to penetrate. We will set
the system up for you so all you have to do is press record.
The
receiver which is placed next to your
video recorder.

"She
used to pretend that there were ghosts in our hallway. So this
was why our son was afraid to walk there" Mrs Shepherd
"She
would leave our son in his high chair for hours and only change
his nappy just before we got home" Mrs Tucker
"My
daughter threw a small toy at the au-pair. We were horrified when
we saw our au-pair throw the toy straight back hitting our daughter
in the eye" Mrs Smith
"I
was dubious about the benefits of using a nannycam but my wife
pursuaded me. I was impressed with the service and would certainly
use one again as an extra safety check the next time we hire a
nanny" Mr Marquez
